Sig of the Week SOTW ???

You guys will be two out of a very few in your silly contest. Have fun!

 

The most important part of my responce was not that people have different sytles - it was that someone may interperate something wrong and get their feelings hurt and stop trying or someone that wants to try will not. This isn't the first time this has came up and probably won't be the last. Who knows, maybe it is a great idea - it's just that it's already been discussed more than once and everyone agreed to let sleeping dogs lie.

 

why do people have to argue about something like this. they enter who wants to. whats the big deal

 

I'm not arguing myself - just telling the history of why the others didn't want it. I'm shit when it comes to getting red-eye out of a snap shot - much less making sigs. It's nothing to me either way.

 

Because we have all argued before not to start this kind of thread.

jay said he sees no problem with it and he has clearly read through this thread so there is no need to highlight that this has been argued about before

 

There have been thousands of new members since there was an agreement not to start a sig competition. The thread has already been started so the competition has already begun and there is no point in stopping it since there are obviously members whe want to be invovlved.

 

toolz, jamms can do his thread, it is a great idea to have a best sig thread, to showcase the best sig that has been created by someone in the cool sigs thread.
he backed off the idea so we persued our idea.

now that it´s been started - hopefully there will be some people who dare to enter such a competiton.

can´t make a secret of the fact that things like this might need some preparation (does anyone remember my "ThreadOfTheWeek"-contest ~2 years ago - and how fast it was stopped? ).

just because...
phun is more about sharing... pics, vids, thoughts, work, effort. of course i can only speak for myself... my "reward" are replies, "thanks" (well, okay, some rs-points can´t hurt either) - well, and people here who regard me as a friend.
i know many who feel the same.

i don´t mind some competiton, phunners should wear their earned trophies with pride - as long as things remain friendly, encouraging, motivating.

 

toolz, would it bother you if it was a poster of the week? an 800x800 creative poster of a theme? or is it literally because it is 450x150? it is that size, because we can then wear our designs afterwards or give them to somone who requests it.
you keep argueing you point, but we have backing to continue. why you are persisting is beyond me.
