That's why I suggested a German shepherd. burgalars avoid dogs, especially big ones, if they can.

 

they require maintenance and upkeep, not including higher home insurance. I know, i use to own one.

Mine is in my nightstand that is unlocked when i am at home. I lock it when i grab my keys to leave the house in the morning so it is always there.

 

my home does have ADT security service when i am not at home.

to much work man. a gun is alot simpler to use than having a big dog that is classified by insurance companies as "agressive" breeds. You would have to pay out about 250 more per year to insure your house with one of those.

I use to carry a gun, and that was the only time a gun was where I needed it when I needed it.

The neighbors have two dogs that bark constantly. Keeps me awake, go off anytime you go outside, get the mail, walk around the side of the house. Before all these subdivsions came around, it was fuckin great. I can't do shit around here without constant noise now. They just put up a fire stations a few hundred feet away too. Get to listen to the sirens all damn day too.
