A police statement released Sunday afternoon said Brown and an unidentified woman began arguing while riding in a car following a pre-Grammy party where they were spotted together Saturday night. The fight escalated when they got out of the car in the ritzy Hancock Park neighborhood, the report said, and Brown was gone by the time officers arrived.
The report indicated that the woman was injured, but Brown was booked only on suspicion of making a criminal threat, a felony, after walking into a police station Sunday night. Authorities said the district attorney could choose to expand the charges.

 

From the reports floating about, re the bruises and the bite marks, Chrisy-boy did most of the beating.

LA's taken a lot of shit for being lenient with `celebs` of late, but that was with vehicles, drink and drugs. Violence against women is a whole different ball game.

I'd expect the DA to pursue felony domestic assault charges, if he's got the stones.

Record mogul Clive Davis shocked guests at his annual star-studded pre-Grammys party Saturday night when he announced that (Usher) would not be performing as planned.
Davis, president of Usher's J Records label, announced that the entertainer and his mother phoned earlier to cancel his rehearsal and subsequent performance at the Beverly Hilton because of a "serious illness in the family."
Reps for Usher declined to comment or elaborate on the sad news, but a source close to the 30-year-old denies rumors that his wife, Tameka Foster, 37, had died due following plastic surgery. Access Hollywood does report, however, that Foster did suffer complications from a cosmetic procedure in Brazil.
The couple have been married since August 2007 and have two children. Foster formerly worked as Usher's stylist.
