I like the new therma-pane windows on the house. They look much nicer. :)

New shots of the infamous 'Blue Ghost Tunnel' - a 120yo abandoned train tunnel in St. Kitts. The site of a train collision in the early 1900s that killed two railway workers and was subsequently closed and abandoned just a few years later.

A buddy and I lit it with several dozen tea candles and shot it with long exposure settings.

    Agreed. A good improvement.

The house belonged to the parents of an ex-girlfriend (we were datin' back in '84). And in 2002 I happened to be doing photography in the nearby area and remembered taking a photo of the old Ford in the driveway. So I stopped by the house, went to the door and asked if it was okay to shoot a pic of the current truck in their driveway.

Turned out...her parents still lived there - and remembered me.

Yeah, I've been a lifelong Ford truck fan. Owned two (so far). I sold off the gold one in the pic above a few years back when gas hit a buck/litre.

SK, That is a great shot of that tunnel. All sorts of ideas pop into my head of what or who could be walking down that tunnel. One day I hope that I will be closer to your expertise.

    That's an awesome pic. :fing02:
I've got pics of the house I grew up in back in the 60' and 70's. I'd really like to go back to the old neighborhood and see how it's changed in the last 26 years since I left. The street I lived on was lined with a marvelous row of elms and oaks on the parkways in front of the houses. I imagine they nearly form a tunnel in the summertime now. I keep neglecting to check Google Earth to see if it's true.

It would also be interesting to see if any of the oldtimers still live there as well. I know for a fact that several have moved on in the intervening years.

I've gone back to a few old neighbourhoods over the years - just to see how they look these days (and reminisce a little about good times).

Unfortunately, time marches on - and invariably, they rarely live up to expectations, though. Too many changes over the years makes it impossible to match up the treasured mental snapshot with the current reality.

Thanks for appreciating and commenting on the spirit in which the pic was posted. :D

Kind of you to say, Austxsoul. :)

We'd gone to the tunnel that day with the hopes that the frigid temps had caused big floor-to-ceiling ice columns to form (it happens every 3-4 years on average). But we had to settle for plan B and shoot it with the candles instead.

I'm surprised they've never turned the old tunnel into yet another cheesy tourist attraction like they so often do here in Niagara.

A new set design in the studio. Thought it looked a little funky.

A few years back I made numerous photography trips to an abandoned 100-yr-old mental hospital that was slated for demolition at the time. There were nineteen various buildings remaining (connected by underground steam tunnels).

I was able to gain access to almost all buildings (except one) during the various trips - and took a total of 1,200 shots during the excursions.

A few of the most interesting...

    No - Whitby, Ontario (Canada)

None of it exists any longer - it was completely leveled about a year or so ago.

From the 'Just when you think you've seen it all online' dept...

Occasionally we receive 'unusual requests' from visitors to our website(s) to do custom shoots.

    Most involve live models.

Last month we got a request from a lad who wanted to see a bondage/fetish set featuring a blow-up latex doll (c'mon now...I can't make this stuff up  )

As weird as it seemed - the guy followed through by shipping us a (get this)...transparent doll - at his expense. We had a good laugh after we opened the package UPS delivered to the door.

Well...the guy paid handsomely for the 60-pic photoset we put together for him - so we had to stop laughing.

    Anyways...a pic from the set.
