    I like fonts that are not too fancy. Arial is still one of my favorites.
    What I almost always do to make the text blend in is the following: use a light fontcolor on a dark background. Give it a little outer glow effect, choose a glow color that's about 1 shade darker than the background.

    Do the exact oposite for a light background :)

    Also... I think placement is realy important... I would have put the text on his shoulder.... see what I mean:

    A handy hint sid, keep two sig folders, one with the saved jpeg and one with the saved psd file for going back and editing it again.
