  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I get automated cold-callers. In the US, if you simply say "Take me off your call list," they cannot call you again. Most people don't know that. Using automation and recorded voices enables them to get around that. :mad:

    They banned the use of those machines that call 10 numbers and only pick up one in the UK.

    But not in all the Indian call centres, natch.

    I lie and tell them i'm not the homeowner; they can't get off the phone quick enough. They also arrange their spiel so that it's very difficult to just slam the phone down, faux-polite species that we are.

    The worst is the Indian ones, who one time called me three weeks on the trot, on Saturday night, at 5.30pm. The last time it happened i yelled down that phone about what time it was, and he politely told me they were allowed to call then. UK call centres work normal week hours.

    Bastards.

    Damn, I wish you had batteries for your camera - I would love to see it. It's supposed to be 64F here today but i've got a damn meeting at 3:30 this afternoon so I can't leave. Pisses me off, who the hell sets up a meeting that late on a Friday afternoon?
