I'd just like to give a nod to TCF who has fuckin superior P/shop skills around here.

 

I guess with the recent move I can ask this again. I know the thread is kind of popular based on views so I wonder if it should be moved because it obviously will have less people checking it out. We could always leave the celebrity gifs thread in the celebrity section and start a random gif thread here but I don't think it will be popular at all. I know Mastermind had a gif thread in the celeb section but that was before we had this sub-forum.....What do you guys think? Jammsbro since it is your thread I'd like to know your views on it aswell.

 

i can see that you do want to reach as much people as possible. that´s why i moved it back.

but i also don´t get why many people think that this creative backyard is "less worthy" (well, okay, the name might suggest that....).

i personally don´t mind gifs in the celeb-forum, the two "heavy weight mods" for celebs, Sandino (who is he, btw?) and Kieks once asked for a celeb-forum just for pics, and after some discussions (not only amongst us mods) there was a decision to split the celeb-forum into PICS and MOVING PICS (movies/gifs).

Yeah, I remember that coming up before. I still remember when there wasn't a celebrity video section. THAT SUCKED!!! I can't remember who but there was a member that would post like 25 videos a day and then all the pics would get bumped to the next page.

 

I think the Celebrity GIF Thread should stay in the Celeb forum where it will get greater exposure, and where the people that visit the celeb forum nearly exclusively can view and appreciate it.

@ River. I don't think the CB is considered less worthy, it's just that it's more of place where the 'regulars' check in. A place where everybody knows your name.

 

it's not that it is less worthy, but people are set in their ways. most people probably only come here to view a certain section and don't venture anywhere else.
and it seems a minority of people are visiting the backyard. which i wasn't until recently, but having been in there i've wanted to start contributing and have taken up sig making.
but i'm set in my ways too. i don't visit the model section anymore since it was split up, which i am gonna start doing btw.
maybe you could advertise the backyard for a week in the model/celeb section via a sticky or something, because i'm sure there is a lot of talent in there that would love a place like that, and would get people viewing it a bit more too so everyones hard work can be appreciated by more.

well, i think it is. funny enough - the implementation of this sub-forum won an award as one of the most awesome events on phun in 2008... put quite often people don´t want to be represented there.

and on a sidenote - if i posted most of my vids in the model-forum i would have gathered some 50K rs-points more. that much about exposure.

okay, i´ll stop. i´m about losing the fantasy-football-championship against Sancho, phun-servers are killing me... i´d rather not participate in discussions today

Since fakes are not allowed in the Celebs subforum I guess it's OK to post them in the Creative Backyard.
After all they're creative in a certain way.
I don't think many will be interested when the fakes go too far; some may even hate them.
Therefore I would, as Jamms said,
1 ask the mods and
2 when permission is given, thread carefully with it.

 

fakes are creations. so why wouldnt they be allowed in this forum. but only if you make them your self.

 

if the fakes are of good quality then i'd love to see them here.
