    When I was a kid we used to go to my grandparents' in Traverse City (northern Michigan) right on Lake Michigan. They were friends with the town butcher, and we would all go trolling along the shore of Lake Michigan for lake trout. We'd get home, the butcher would make about 3 expert swipes with his knife, and voila: boneless lake trout. Delicious!

    I never learned to cook. My ex, being Italian, cooked all the meals. When she left me, I tried to cook but wasn't too excited about it. To this day that's one of the reasons I eat so shitty.
