Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     With me you're always safe going with a legible Helvetica or Times-like typeface. When I was a full-time copywriter, I wrote many headlines. I like a typeface that doesn't get buried in the art. Type and art can "marry" quite nicely.

    yep ... 1/2 the state roots for the Rangers ... the other 1/2 roots for the Bruins ..... the Whalers sold a lot of tickets when they played the Bruins or Rangers. ;)

    If i remember correctly, the Red Wings were a big draw too. I think the star at that time was Steve Yserman.

    I just looked it up .... they were originally a World Hockey Association team based in Boston and became part of the NHL in 1979. In Boston the team was called the New England Whalers ... it makes sense because Boston has a huge whaling history.

    Hartford is landlocked, so not much Whaling opportunities there. ;)
