Why pucks and balls? 'Cause kids can compete and strive to get better at a fun sport, which transfers to real life.

I was so drunk one night I couldn't remember how to spell 'of'. Seriously.

This guy came into the bar I used to hang at, asking my friend if he could score some coke. My buddy was like. 'who the fuck are you?' ...We chased the dude out the bar and about 10 minutes later he came back wielding a machete, swingin' it over his head, yellin, "All right motherfuckers, I'll take al- "

That's about as far as he got before getting whopped upside the head with a barstool. And then another. It was a hell of sight.

When the deputies showed up for eye witness accounts (and to scrape the poor fucker off the sidewalk outside the bar) I was at a total loss for words, I couldn't stop laughing. Spelling went right out the window. I spelled 'of' 'ov' on the police report.

I have definitely had the exact same type of word-farts. Suddenly your mind sees the word, but can't form a word association -- and you're fucked. It's funny, and a good study of how our minds work, too.

Well, I am out for the night guys. Have fun and before I go, it had to be done...

 

I was 1.5 years short of an education degree. But in all the 20 years of private drum lessons I taught, I became sage. (When I was playing at night I would teach a few kids 4 or 5 afternoons per week.)
