Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     Most people do their work parties earlier to make sure they don't interfere with family parties. It's traditional around here that the girls (wifes, mothers, sisters, aunts....) have a night out, the guys have a different night out, then total family get-togethers all the week of Christmas.

    On the girls and guys nights out everyone just goes to a nice restaurant that serves alcohol and has a nice meal and a few drinks. I keep the kids when the wife goes out and vica versa - it's just a nice break.

    Just Christmas and the day after. American's don't believe in long holidays like other people do. Even vacations a week is as long as you can take at a time. No way in hell anyone here could take a month off and still have a job unless you were on maternity leave or sick leave.
