At least I've heard of the Steve Miller Band.

Lot's of teenagers/college kids play the Doors when they are partying ... I think this stuff gets passed down through older brothers/sisters ... or the kids parents played it.

Those guys are incredible musicians.

 

I was really big into the Doors when I was younger. Not so much anymore. I think they have a real appeal to that 17 to 23 crowd, that's why their stuff gets passed along and remains so popular.

Dude...it was sick last summer.... They're all over 18, but not by much. My boat was freighted with puss, and it was just me and this bud of mine's nephew.
All they wanted was a little smoke, a little swill, and somewhere to lay out in the sun. As Captain of the P/V (Porking vessel) Dry Martini, I was more than happy to accommodate the young ladies.

Methinks the "kids" listen to them because they know the band was awesome at one point, and most of them have NO idea who they are now. Therefore, if you listen to the Doors now, you must be "cool, and different".

She hired 3 people to teach her English. A linguist, a dialect coach and someone who specializes in idiomatic speech. She worked really hard at it for a year and then - BAM! - welcome to America!
