She really can't come to terms with the idea that ageing is normal.

Don't feel like that is a phenomenon exclusive to Hollywood. There's a lot of people that aren't happy about aging. That said, she has money, success and fame. Why can't she age however she wants. Who is the authority on normal. We're all fucking weirdos in one way or another. If its not adversely affecting her, I doubt theres any motivation for her to age "normally".

 

Nah. Disagree. She defo has an issue with getting older. I saw her in interviews years back where she was panicking about turning 40. She was pretty cool and now she is doing a borderline midlife crisis.

She can do and act however she wants, but it definitely screams that she is insecure about ageing when her life looks like a pantomime. I'm nearly 50 and I have no desire to start acting like I'm on spring break every day.

 

Disagree with what? Never commented one way or the other about whether she had an issue with getting older. I dont know her personally and haven't heard her speak on it. All I said was that the fear of aging or dislike of it isn't Hollywood exclusive. I stand by that statement.

The world is full of people who think and act differently. I share your opinion about not wanting to party every day. Doesnt mean that you and I are the normal ones and anyone who thinks differently is strange. As Ive gotten older, I realize how hard it can be just to get through the day at times. If living in a pantomime, as you call it, makes the day a little more tolerable for her, do your thing girl. Doesn't affect my life. Now, you made a comment a while back about how tiring it would be if you were in a relationship with her and I'm inclined to agree with that, if her life is 24/7 like the social media posts that we have seen. Still, I cannot agree with your statement of her needing to "come to terms" with aging normally, because your normal isn't my normal. What even is normal?

Normal is a societal standard for what is taken to be average. Everybody knows what someone means when they say normal. Stop playing semantics.

 

Is not about semantics. It's about your generalization in using the word normal. Even adding the word societal doesn't help. Its fabricated. Id argue that any standards are conditional at best. I dont waste my time worrying about standards. I find it a better use of my time and efforts to focus on what is or isn't detrimental to me or those I love and care about. But that's fine, you are entitled to your opinion and the choice to agree or disagree with me. Just as she is entitled to wear big giant bows in her hair or live in a pantomime.

 

Kate looks good in tight jeans. As for aging , I quit looking in the mirror long time ago as I might either scare myself or be awfully disappointed.
