I don't remember when it was during the 24 hour period of a day.

My three `tours` of Vegas are a little on the hazy side.

I'm from Lincolnshire, right? We have this fairly area specific accent, sort of halfway between Yorkshire and Norfolk, both accent and geographically.

However, i was raised in Lincoln, the urban centre (hence the county name, geniuses). So i don't sound a lot like someone from Lincs.

I call it the Urban British Accent - affected by American film and tv, but mixed in with all the other fucking accents we throw into the mix.

 

That's how my first two years went after moving here. Took a while to get it under control.

You'd be hard pressed to find too many people in this country that use lexicon with any regularity. Ya'll know what I mean?

I love it. But then i'm a big fan of the Kevin Bacon game. And i have one of those fucked-up trivia minds, that remembers random shit you can never use, unless it's some weird question on a pub quiz no-one else could possibly get.

 

I'm a little like that, and I kick ass at scrabble too. I do crossword puzzles and have a crossword dictionary which has all kinds of strange words in it - a real advantage at scrabble!

I'm pretty good at crosswords. When i can be arsed.

I haven't played Scrabble in years. Used to be our default `wet weather` game growing up, with my Mum. That and chess.

But not my sister. Who's thick as shit. I love her, 'cos she's my sister. I just don't like her all that much.

I do my absolute best to dilute all the bad habits and slovenly behaviour she passes on to my nephew, who, for whatever reasons of family genetics, looks and acts a lot like me. (No southern redneck gags, thank you)

The perils of living in the boonies, people try to take advantage of you. Had that same problem in Bumblefuck, Colorado, population 500. I lived 65 miles from the nearest Walmart, which in the lower 48 states is a long fucking way from any Walmart. Was that far from the nearest traffic light too, come to think of it.
