  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Benign, and bored out of my mind.

Also, trying to find a new antivirus by the end of today, since my two-year Kapersky subscription ended abruptly.

Yeah, I spent hours researching, but it came out very clearly: Kapersky is one of the best, and fan-favorites are NOD32 and AVG/Avast.

Since I don't have an international monetary account at the moment(no online transactions), I'll go with Avast for the time being.

There's either a German or Russian company out there that has one that according to my fellow administrator is the best free one out there. He says the updates come out every bit as quick as Symantecs but I can't remember the name of it right now. I'll ask him tomorrow and shoot you a pm with the name of it.

This sounds familiar to what my college computer professor recommended. Can't remember the name b/c I use macs mostly and didn't download it. He said it was free and had updates regularly. I'll try to find where I wrote the name of it down when I get home.

    Restart. restart unistall.

According to wikipedia, and thousands of anonymous users, NOD32 is based out of Slovakia by a company called 'ESET', and they rate it on par, or better than my Kapersky, due to system resources, scanning check(incredibly fast), and availibility(it may be free, tho I can't say for sure now).

I need to restart now, so hopefully youll reply by then with anything at all. :)

Symantec's scan on startup really slows the pc down for a bit. I have it scheduled to scan everynight at 12:00 as well as real-time protection so I turned off startup scan.
