I was honestly a bit freaked out by that sound byte the first couple of times I visited his site.

 

Dudes, thanks for the reminder of Robb - I've been trying to remember his name/site for the past few days since rec announced he was shutting down. He was a genuine pioneer and legend to us old school perves, and I still remember how affected I was by his passing - and how many hundreds of people paid tribute in the comments of his site.

None of that seem worthy enough for an NC-17 rating. How the fuck did the movie get such a rating?

 

Because there are very graphic rape scene(s?).

 

Are we talking like on par with the one Monica Belluci was in in Irreversible? Because then I could probably see that being the case. But if its because its a rape scene in general, usually an R rating is enough.

 

Also some type of weird abortion scene from the POV of inside her. So disturbing, not sexy.

Still not sure what they mean by "graphic sex scenes" these days. So extra mile or just extreme levels of softcore style scenes? I really got to know whether or not the NC-17 rating is justifiable. You hardly ever see that rating in this day and age, so for a movie to get that means they probably did some actual hardcore scenes or near so. Showgirls was understandable at being NC-17 back in the days, now it would either not get a rating or be R rated because its not explicit enough.

 

Are you sure that the description in this cap comes from people who have actually seen the film? I would put more trust into what Mr. Skin says about it, especially as they share their detailed list of all the nudity in the film, based on what must be a screener. They even offer timestamps that everybody will be able to check by themselves in less than a week.
Mr. Skin clearly says that there's no full frontal from de Armas, while the other source claims that she's "fully nude for most of the second act". It doesn't match the list at all. According to Mr. Skin, at that point, there are 30 minutes, then 40 minutes without nudity at all. No hardcore doggy style, no masturbation, etc. either.
And I must add that the anonymous description looks nothing like the content of the original book at all, and mostly lists unnamed actors or characters, while occasionally switching to "Marilyn".

 

For a scene like this to be considered extra mile would have to be non simulated. Like the sex scenes in 9 Songs or Short Bus, it's closer to porn tbh. I don't think Ana would do something like that but it might be considered explicit in the sense that it is not implied or somehow censored (i.e. not nudity ): nudity, moaning, "riding", touching etc. might be why it is considered explicit.
I am starting to think the movie will suck big time it's... insane. It's like a bad trip from what i'm reading! Oh well... i guess i'll just wait for the screencaps.

 

If you've seen other films by director Andrew Dominik, like The Killing of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford or, even more, Killing Them Softly, it's obvious that there won't be anything remotely "sexy" in that film. He has an extremely dry and slow-paced style, with the occasional bout of graphic violence. If you expect an erotic thriller, you're about to be extremely disappointed.
