    Our bunkers suck. The dirt where I play is red clay, hard as a damn rock with terrible drainage so they have problems keeping them fluffy. Fairways and greens are pretty good when the grass comes out of dormancy though.

    I'm so-so with my driver, can't hit a 3 wood for shit, and when I get my touch back I hit my 8 - wedge pretty accurate - so I play a lot of longer approach shots that most I play with and have to make up for it with short game.

    Most of our cheaper courses are struggling with the drought, but if you can afford to get on the exclusive courses, they're perfect, including amazing bunkers/sand traps.

    Pretty much holds true here, my course is one of the cheaper ones. I play the other really nice ones in the winter - they drop the rates to almost 1/2 to make up for the slow play.

    bama, no word of a lie, we have a 9 hole golf course up here. the 'greens' are made of hard sand though. :)
