Yeah that's why I mentioned it so you could be on the lookout. I'm not particularly squeamish and it skeeved me out a bit, but it definitely wasn't gratuitous (the script demanded it).

Have you ever seen Romper Stomper, sj?

It was violent, but it was all necessary violence for the characters to be built up, so i dealt with it pretty well, but when i see a film with graphic violence just for the sake of it, i tend to turn it off.

Argh, fucking Crows are back in front.

If the Doggies can't win this, they'll never win a game.

I haven't seen it. I'm okay with graphic violence that's stylized, like Shoot 'em Up, Pulp Fiction, etc. I react more to realistic violence (a la Reservoir Dogs, Syriana) but it doesn't get to me that much. But I'd hate watching gratuitous realistic violence in large amounts.

I loved Pulp Fiction, and whilst there was violence, i didn't find it to be over the top, or overly unnecessarily gratuitous.

    You should see Romper Stomper.
A young Russell Crowe playing a violent, racist skinhead, and it was easy to see why he's one of the best actors in the world now.

Now the Doggies get back to within 3.

They need another goal to win, so perhaps i should abuse them some more.

    :)

My aussie friends always claim him as an aussie when he's acting, but then he's a kiwi whenever he's singing or brawling.

Either way he has turned out to be a heck of an actor

Wow, what a win for the Doggies.

Fitting that Brad Johnson kicked their last three goals.

    Correct.

He considered himself to be an Australian, so that's really all that matters.

He came here before he was 2 years old, so i'm happy to claim him.

Brad Johnson is a fucking champion, am so pleased for him. What a game of footy, I couldn't take my eyes off it in the last term, AFL is back. Fuck yeah.

6 from 6 at the moment, come on Hawks and Roos, I might get that $75 weekly prize in the department competition.

did you see Sin City? I found the style in which they chose to make that film very interesting.

Yeah. Rodriguez knows style. Desperado had style out the wazoo, too bad it got worse as it went along--the first couple of fight scenes are classics.

Sin City's his best to date, IMO, but Im still waiting for something big because he has the talent for it.

Would've been cool to see his take on V for Vendetta. V's amazing as it is though.

Romper is definitely an excellent film, especially considering it was made here in Melbourne, on a very low budget and with a then unknown cast.

The camera work/black and white made the film hard to watch for me.
