Not exactly. We are "self insured" but use Blue Cross/Blue Shield to handle our claims. We pay monthly dues to the hospital and a dedcutable at a office visit. As long as the provider is a BC/BS approved physician then you only pay deductable (which at the moment is $35) and 20% of exam costs - the hospital picks up the rest. I pay about $190/month for family coverage which is damn cheap compared to other policies.

Aussie rules is just that, the competition itself is called AFL.
    It's totally different to rugby.

Aussie rules is my (and Kieks) great passion. It's like a religion down here, taking up close to half of the newspaper every day.
The first games of the new season are tonight, with my team playing our first game as the reigning premiers (champions).

    Cannot wait.

Dude....they both want universal health care, universal education through college, they both want the govt to bail out the douchebags over here that signed up for mortgages they knew they couldn't afford...it's govt, govt, govt with these bastards. Sounds awfully Marxist to me. :(

Lol...that doesn't mean they're socialists. Their ideologies might have roots in Marxism, though.

Nice! By the time we see the games here (I think) they're about a week old or so. I'm not real familiar with the teams, but I love the hell out of it when I can catch it. ;)

Might? Holy balls Melon. The base voters for these asshats are the ones that have been on the take from the taxpayer for generations. Big government is their mantra! The libs (Democrats) haven't changed their playbook since the Kennedy administration. Nothing would give them more joy than to have the entire country in some form of need from the govt. That's not what this country was founded on. There's a reason no US Senator has been elected to the oval office since Kennedy. They're all jerkoffs looking to advance their own agenda. They aren't leaders. :(

But they don't want to replace your capitalist economic system with a socialist one, do they? Don't think so.

Btw. I'm a democratic socialist, so I'd prefer if you didn't call their voters asshats, thank you ;)

They most certainly do.....Hillary has already stated that she's going to take 10 billion away from big oil. I.E. she is going to hinder capitalism for the "greater good"

She might want to weaken it, but she doesn't want to replace it completely.

They can't be worse than Bush Jr, he's increased government spending more than any president since Nixon. He's even increased discretionary non-defense spending by nearly twice what Clinton did overall. The man creates and expads social programs on the taxpayer dime like it's going out of style.

It aint free if you are paying the government to run it for you. Since when does the government know how to manage anything efficiently? How many times have you heard about government waste? Have you ever seen your public school education system when there is a budget shortfall? It gets cut! You think the budget for health care and research and development of new medicines will be kept at the same level? You are nuts if you think so. That is why the US is still the world leader in innovations and new treatments of sick people.
