  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    i checked out phun from work today and tehre is a bloody great banner for lurkers now which is good and should encourage alot more people to join i hope.

    Not really...I think I'll have to throw up something that pays for impressions/clicks...that one works with sign-ups. And I made 1 sale with 3000 clicks...and it could be even a click from the frontpage (got the ad there too)

    On the negative side, if these "guests" have simply registered to rid themselves of the banner, but don't change their behaviour in any way, what's been achieved? But looking on the positive side, even a tiny proportion actually ending up as contributors would indeed signal a success!

    Well your probly right S most probly won't change their behaviour but it brings them one step closer to posting..and it is great seeing someone come out of lurkerdom to say something nice about a particular thread,and hopefully then they will relaize it is'nt that hard to post all the time! i too once started as a noob and new nothing of posting pics and such but now i love it! it was a great thrill learning (and i still am) how to aqucuire said pics and posting them :D
