    this was my biggest worry about Morimoto. we have a commercial here (i think for MasterCard) that shows a couple in an expensive restaraunt, and when the dishes come, they are very tiny portions. the man refers to it as elf food. so, i was worried it would be elf food. :lol: i was very happy it was not. the portions were very nicely sized, and i could barely get up when we were done. dinner ended up being about $100 per person, so FULL is exactly how i wanted to feel.

    I've never tried an American wine, so i'm looking forward to trying some when i visit.

    I stick to good Aussie wine, and the classic French stuff.

    Australian wine is very good too. Penfold's is the biggest winery in Aussieland.

    We spent $350+, although that includes Kobe beef and two expensive bottles of red.

    The sizes were barely enough for my missus, and she doesn't eat a whole lot.

    They're just not nearly enough for a man. Would need to double the serving for it to be enough.

    I know Penfolds well, mate.

    You should try some of the stuff from the smaller wineries in the Barossa Valley (South Australia).

    Some cracking stuff from there, just doesn't get the media that the bigger brands like Penfolds have.
