Well, you have a population of a billion people, all cricket mad (unlike here), and yet you've not won anything of any significance in 25 years and have NEVER headed the ICC test rankings.

How could that not be considered underachieving?

Given their situation, India should absolutely dominate world cricket, yet they've not only never dominated, they've never even been considered the best in the world.

It's all good buddy, just having an interesting discussion :)

    It makes Phun more fun.

Give us a billion people and we'd win every single match by an innings.

India's talent pool is extraordinary, they should have two or three teams worth of world-class players lining up right now.

We've got 20 million people (and far more competing sports) yet we've managed to dominate world cricket for 15 years.

I don't know if that speaks more about us or you, but there is absolutely no doubt that India should be the dominant force in world cricket.

BTW You need need work on your quoting, tutu :D

i accidently deleted the [/ before the last "quote"...fixed :D...

i agree with you on that...
but as i said, god damn politics...

because of politics, this is what happened -->
    1. ganguly lost his place as the captain...now he lost his place in the team alltogether
    2. dravid lost his place as the captain...now he lost his place in the team alltogether
    3. untalanted kids like Rohan Gavaskar are playing because his father, Sunil Gavaskar, was a great cricketer and has a seat in the selection committee...

what messages does this send out?

I don't know about the politics in Indian cricket, but i do know you're better off without Ganguly leading the team.

Dhoni and Kumble are men of honour.......
