    thank you for this article. i remembered reading about this and had a discussion about this with my very stubborn friend just yesterday about DST and how it wastes energy. he refused to believe me, as usual, and i am right, as usual. you'd think he'd learn. i just emailed the fucker with the link. :)

    Still off work (it was a public holiday here anyway), but it was my birthday, so we went to Nobu and spent way too much on overrated food so i had a few red wines to numb the pain my wallet was feeling.

    Happy belated birthday my friend ;) On the very rare occasions I drink wine it tears my head apart as well.

    Honestly I don't really celebrate it at all, I'm not Irish. They do seem like they a fun with that holiday though.

    It's even bigger as a drunk fest in the States than Ireland. I celebrate, but I stay in. St Paddy's, Cinco de Mayo, New Year's Eve--they're amateur hour at the bars and you get all the bozos who don't know how to hold their drinks. Nothing wrong with getting a little sloppy but if you're going to get stumbly puking drunk it's not fun for those around you, and those days bring out the worst in people. I'll pick up some Guinness and maybe a nip of Jameson's (probably not since it's a week night) and chill at home with friends.

    me too, I don't understand that either...it seems to me alcohol is alcohol but wine always kicks my ass.

    They don't know my post count or mod status, it'd freak them out. I was in the middle of doing a mass ban/trash purge with Azz when these losers from another forum attacked us, and then my brother was trying to get online. I was holding him back, saying I was doing important things. Well he's going overseas on Thursday and the other one has moved out so it'll just be me and the parents for a while.
