Well, I know why guns are made, and that's reason enough for me why not to like them.
If you hunt, and you have a couple of rifles because of that, fine with me, but I don't like the whole self-protection thing. Each to his own though.

 

I don't know about where you live but there's a bunch of crazy fuckers over here in the US. As good as the cops may be they can't be everywhere at one time. I would never want to shoot another person but when it comes to defending my family - that's a different story.

 

Wine is marked up 300%.....but wines that you can not buy yourself. They are usually allocated to restaurants only.

 

Maybe that's because of the not so strict gun laws you have over there

 

That's another story...Point is - there are crazy people with guns on the streets.

 

this is very true, the only 2 legged critters i shoot are ground squirrels when they are standing up. but if my family's life is in danger i'll blast every one of them.

i just love it when i am right.

 

crazy people don't always carry a gun. my friend's house was invaded by a crazy guy high on drugs but only had a crowbar. My house had people snooping around it and they didn't have a gun, but my shotgun sure chased them off fast. The cops don't even show up in time to prevent crimes, hence they are only there after a crime has been committed.

 

I'm sure there is.
We don't have many murder cases here where guns are involved...I think. It's knife related most of the time.

 

so does it matter if a crazy guy uses a knife or gun to kill you or your family member? No because you would be dead regardless. I would rather have the proper tool to defend myself than take a chance in a knife fight with a crazy guy.

 

True story - Monday a.m. I had go to the ER to take care of some business and a guy walked in the ER with 6 bullet holes in him. He drove his car from where he got shot and walked in the ER. It was amazing. All 6 shots were non critical and he actually has already went home.

 

why was he shot? trying to rob somebody's house?

my aunt hs been stalked by her ex-husband, my sister has been stalked by an ex-bf, and i have seen my property being broken into. I doubt it is paranoia but what would happen if i walked in on these guys as they were committing a crime against me? Unless you live in my society or seen the things i have seen i doubt you would call it paranoia. Just like how i haven't called you crazy for not owning a gun.

 

Nope, i'll read the form but i'm on a betting ban until we hit US shores.

Missus figures we need as much money as possible, and that i'll want to try my luck on the US ponies, so i guess it makes sense to not bet now.
