cool, I only live 6 miles from my office, only takes me 15 minutes or so to drive in as well. There's lots of mornings I wish I had the luxory of sleeping til 8:00 or so.

 

I work in the city, so i pay a lot of money to live so close, but it's worthwhile when you're only a 10 minute tram ride away.

I get up at 7am every morning, just don't leave until 8.45.

 

guess so, saves a lot on gas. I drive a full sized truck with a 24 gallon tank, it usually lasts me 2 weeks, pretty good.

yeah, I get up a 6 and leave by 7:15 - as I mentioned earlier I'm running kids around most of that time.

 

I always marvel at the size of American vehicles.

My car is one of the biggest you'll find here, yet it'd be considered a medium sized vehicle over there.

I love living so close to work.
I save a buttload of time and money (tram rides are very cheap).

 

Another packed train ride coming up, wonderful...

Trains are horrible.

Every time i get on one i get stuck either beside a fat chick or an ethnic dude with hideous BO.

Why can't i sit beside a nice, tasty young lady?

 

I turn on my Ipod and switch off from the outside world, it isn't easy though. Screaming people piss me off. I stood opposite a hot blonde in a skirt and stockings the other day. I was trying to get a good eyeful when she wasn't looking. Alas, we went seperate ways in the city after exiting the station. I hope to bump into her again one day. Oh yes...

haha - we only have about 30K people in my town - no need for that much public transportation. There is a small bus that only runs in the city but very people take advantage of it.

In the city of Melbourne we have about 3 million people.

 

I see those sort of trucks (usually imported, i think) and they don't even fit into our car parks here.

 

yes, it's pretty quiet around here. okay when you've settled down but boring when single.

we have some parking lots around that it's a bitch getting in and out of - but for the most part since suv's are so popular they are accomadating.

 

If i could find a decent job in a small town, i'd be there tomorrow.

Problem is, there isn't much calling for my profession in small towns.

 

Me neither, I work for the highest employed company in my county. Only one other employer around here would even start to compare to the pay rate that I'm on. Hence the reason for being here 14 years now.
