    Not much worse than dry pizza.

    Needs to have oodles of tomato paste on it, to the point where it's almost swimming.

    i wish i knew a good NY place to recommend, but i don't. haven't been NYC in quite a while. i'm SURE you can easily find a "Best of" listing online regarding NY pizzas though

    my two favorite pizzas are Buffalo Chicken (grilled chicken, hot sauce, mozzarella, and bleu cheese, sometimes red peppers and onions) and simply Green Pepper, Onion, and Ham. i do also on occasion get a good craving for Hawaiian Pizza. dunno if that's popular where either of you are

    I can't go past a good Margherita. It's an absolute classic and the way pizza should be.

    Lot's of good gourmet pizzas i like too, mainly ones with either feta or buffalo mozzarella on them.

    Hawaiian is extremely popular here, doesn't do much for me though.
    Pineapple is like anchovies, neither has a place on pizza imo.

    I love gourmet chicken pizzas, one's that use marinated chicken breast.
    The chicken pizzas the chain places like Domino's and Pizza Hut have are fucking horrible.

    totally agree. around me there are so many mom and pop type pizza places that we may order from a franchise pizza place only once every few years

    I love both.

    The tomato sauce on the base, with some diced fresh tomatoes on top.

    I adore good quality tomato paste/sauce, one that is freshly made and using a good amount of herbs.
