morning all. Im in a better mental place today. Talked with both family and a friend here on the forum. I have to learn that sometimes things you go to shit (litteraly). But its a tough lesson for me to learn. Anyway humour it is.

It seems that way to me. I mean, we've had over 500,000 people die of this virus and yet there are so many people who are like "Well I didn't get it so who cares? Back to normal, to hell with the weak". And that number doesn't even take into account the overdoses and suicides as a result of this pandemic with people who just couldn't take the isolation and everything being shut down, which could have been close to over by now if not completely done if people hadn't been so damn selfish because they had to go to the salon or so crazy in believing all these conspiracy theories. Yet, even if you add those deaths to the total, so many Americans are like "This is terrible because it inconveniences ME".

We aren't a community, we barely qualify as a nation with all the divisions, selfishness and hatred. No one seems to care about anyone except themselves and their own circle, I don't mean like they don't love everyone I mean they actually see everyone outside of said circle as an enemy or opponent and if they suffer or die, tough shit "I'm the alpha, I win". So much cruelty and heartlessness, it really messes with an empath like myself.

I actually went in a taxi today to have a socially distanced coffee with my boss.

It was like "Back to the future" when Marty goes to 2015.

Here's the plan that was discussed.

1/ Reopen the office this summer if things go well.

or

2/ Close the office permanently, continue the kitchen table work
and hire office/meeting space as needed.

Sadly 90% of the staff will be let go, with first refusals re-hiring next Spring.

3/ With from option 2, reopen a new office a next Spring.

Boss got a really good deal from our Landlord and she's sublet the office as storage space.

So its wait & see, it all depends if the June open up goes ahead.

Flippy, I have so been there, anxiety/depression is horrible.
I can't and won't give you advice, just to say what i learnt.
In situations like this we lose touch with what's around us, the ordinary things,
your little Cat, the sun coming through the morning, the smell of coffee brewing.

They have been my grounding.
The little things we forget about.

I just want to thank everyone on here but Sophie especially. Being isolated is not fun but coming here makes me feel not so isolated. This is the first thing I do in the morning and I check alerts through the day. Thanks to all of you for being here.

I'm lucky to have a job, a lot of people i worked with will be unemployed next month
with a possible option to be re-interviewed next Spring.
