    Quick rant/thought: Don't understand people who don't give rap/hip hop a try. It's not all what you think it is. IMO more is told through most rap lyrics than any rock song. Don't make me compare :p That is all. I said it's a rant so dont want some long ass discussion about it. :spider:

    I listened to a lot of rap/hip hop in the late eighties and early nineties, but i felt like the lyrics of the genre devolved in to empty boasting and misogony after that...i know i probably missed tons of tunes with a relevant message, but that's why i lost interest...:dunno:

    Same here. I couldn't understand what they were talkin' 'bout. But, I loved the bass lines, the beat, the pace. Then all of a sudden it wasn't cool to listen to West Coast crews... WTF!!!! I stopped really listening to it until Eminem came into play. Not ashamed to say I'm a fan ever since.
