Firsty, thanks heaps for going to all this effort. Your work is very much appreciated.

And I don't know what to say, I'm flattered with getting so many medals of all colours. But being the sexiest member isn't really a surprise, I always knew I was among the most sexy in the skin here. I'm just glad that people have finally recognised. As a way of thanks, I may even put up a picture of me in an exotic pose for your viewing pleasures.

i apologize for the little wait we'll have till the medals arrive, but i should be able to have them by tomorrow night (it's about 10:30 am on saturday, Dec 1 here). don't get too excited. don't want to hype it up. they're not that fancy. i won't be on much today unfortunately.

it's nice to see everybody happy with their winnings, so for a visual i will organize the thread by person with their medals underneath their name. i could even do a points sytem if you guys want... like 3 points for gold, 2 for silver, 1 for bronze... and that way we can have overall rankings and i'll make the thread that way. let me know if you like that idea. it's been my pleasure doing what bit i can so far.

Jamms or a mod... would anybody mind putting a note in the first post that results are on page 8? might help some day in the future if the results end up somewhere in the "middle" eventually. thanks!

one last thing... regarding Most Awesome Threads, i don't really know what to do with those. the problem is that who gets the medal(s)? most of the threads are awesome because of dozens of people... and in some cases it's truly just 1 or 2 people that make it awesome. it's just not cut and dry. threads are more collective yet the starters should get extra credit for starting it. all posters help make it awesome though by posting. i was planning on recognizing them (as we did) but excluding them from the medals/points because of this reason. please let me know what you all think about that. i don't want to rub anybody the wrong way. if you want a quick example... juicehead co-created the chat thread... so does he get a medal? he isn't around much anymore unfortunately. i love the guy, but the medal for keeping that alive would have to go to about 15 of you as far as 2007 is concerned. it's that kind of situation i'm talking about, so i'm planning on leaving them out of the medals post and points rankings if that's ok with everybody.

 

I didn't get my votes in, but I approve very much of the results.

Thanks to everyone who got involved, it was good fun waiting for the results and it ended up being more popular than i had thought it would, next year hopefully it will double in popularity.

I am now conjoined winner of best new guy with the Melonman I think he should have pipped it though, his thanked count is off the chart.

 

almost everybody included you two. he was ahead by 1 vote for a while because somebody gave him a solo vote... then somebody voted for only you and not him. it was pretty exciting! you definitely both deserve gold for that. no doubt here.
