maybe you, keepontrucking´ (i would have sent you a PM, but obviously you don´t like that...), are the reason that there are some folks from the axis-of-evel here in "old" europe who are disgusted by some behaviour of some americans?

I've never understood why forum users expect a privately owned forum to be a democracy.

Forums are hierarchical in their very nature, there is always someone above you, and always someone who owns the board.

Bottom line, it's their board so they can do whatever the fuck they want (and rightly so).

 

to be honest it is not what we do and force upon others. We try to be as open and as free as possible, but like all communities there are sets of rules in place to help benefit the masses. These guys who come on here to spam or have an agenda do so because of the traffic this board can generate. That is why guys like him post on here. But we wouldn't have this traffic if all our members are assholes like him. So go figure.

We have rules against url shorteners to protect our average user from accidentally getting spyware, viruses, or unknowingly helping out gamers who are desperate to get hits from a board this size. We don't make rules up just because we want to. they are there for a reason. and 99% of these rules are to protect our members and viewers.

He was, but because of his familiarity with the rules he can still tell people what to do if they are rule violating.

 

Tai and i are sometimes talking about "issues" or share thoughts about them.
he was more than a little upset by this guy´s behaviour.
regardless me being a mod or not, being a german too or not - sometimes you have to spit instead of swallowing.

never intended to offend anyone here (except this guy...), but there are situations that even a helpful and friendly member can´t "help" and becomes unfriendly
