Can we all agree that patriots suck?

 

Yes !!!

 

For the unfamiliar most teams from Boston has a sense of grandeur to them that rubs me the wrong way. Sorry but i dont agree your gods gift to american sports. I have the outmost respect for what Tom Brady has done as an athlete of course, but man patriots its a hard pill too swallow.

 

Can't call it handball since that's already a sport. So I guess we just call it American football from now on here, we are an international community after all.

what about my Raiders dammit? Hmph, fine, it's us against the world anyway(at least don't cheer the Pats, seems everyone is on agreement there lol)

Been really busy actually working today, the BIG match tonight, I can't call it as far as who will win.

England is in with a chance, but I admire the USA team if we can get a goal in I'll be happy.

From there... we'd be the first English team to get into a World Cup Final since... 1966

If Hogwarts were like that, I'd gladly go back to school.

Sorry for my rash comment but that was a pathetic penalty strike.

Let me get to work then i can comment.

 

Am I disappointed? Yes that "We" (England) didn't win, am I disappointed in our performance, no.

You're up against the Title Holder's, the World's Top team, we had way more (% wise) possession and passes.
Then got 2 goals in, but I'm also looking at the rest of the Game and what we take away and can learn from here.
We weren't the giant killers (are there any left in the Tournament?) We got the Goal in I wanted, we got a second in
(and yes it was offside) and without a clumsy penalty could have been a third, (before anyone criticises
someone in taking a Penalty, you give it a try)

So job not done, but England takes away a lot of lessons, now its onto the Euro's in 2 years (taking place in the UK) and Team GB for the Olympics.

The USA are like Gladiators, they're surgical in the way they play, England needs to learn from that, Possession & passing
are essential and while Ellen White did it against the USA, England needs to focus more on that Gladiator Goal-delivery.

England made mistakes, they at times lost focus and were punished for it.

None of the Current USA Team plays for any team in Europe, Hope Solo said they're USA-Centric in their way, so does Sweden
or the Netherlands have what it takes in the European Game to be Giant Killers?

In the End, facts on the game mean little, the only fact that matters is the USA won and respect to them.

But on the night, titles, who's at the Top of any list can mean little, its how you play on the night.
How many times has France been on their way out when they win with 30 seconds left in extra time.

Now onto Saturday (which I'll see along with the Final) to the Third Place placings.

The Lionesses have done so much for the England game, many girls (and boys) will have been inspired and will build on what's
been achieved over the last five years.

Finally, I haven't seen the reason the USA Coach has given on why Megan was rested last night, (it could have been a really difference score)
I hope it's not because she dared to speak up to and against "The Glorious Leader", (or behind the scenes pressure from Sponsorships) last time
I looked it was still the USA and not the UKT.
