Halloween⁠: ”Souling” - the practice, on All Hallows’ Eve, of going from door to door asking for “soul cakes”, & in return singing prayers for the souls of the givers & their friends. “Souling” is of medieval origin; which became... trick-or-treating.

This Sunday, day and date will be the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice, the end of the First World World.
The London Underground is commerrating it on its Roundels.

Well I think it's great that they're doing that.

I remember selling red crepe paper poppies on Memorial Day to raise money for various veterans charities when I was a kid. It was a thing my father insisted we do, he being a veteran of WWII himself. I thought it was a nice and worthwhile tradition, but I don't think kids do it anymore.

I've decided to rewatch "Blackadder goes Forth" leading up to Amstrice Day.

Haven't seen it in a long time & yes i did cry my eyes out at the last episode.

That Watson pic is a prime example of why it may be better to hack the photographers as opposed to the actual celebs(it's happened a few times already).

 

I agree and loved it and that final episode (especially with what's coming up) really gets to me.

We're finally getting to Cornwall this week, haven't been well this last week and i'm still have time due to me at work.

So off to the South West, ok its nearly Winter and days are short, but sometimes you need a change of scene.

 

I must be tired, since I read that as cornhole at first glance.
