I hate them too. It kinda screws with my internal clock when I wake up and it's still dark out. I feel like I'm getting robbed of precious sleep time, even though I'm not.

My solution... sleep till the sun comes up...

    Sounds like a plan:)

I learnt the hard way, never ever be in the front row on a comedy gig!!!
Never try to talk back to a Comic (i didn't but heard others who have)
Comics do it for a living & they will destroy you.

In Theatre, with "The Leisure Society", it was staged in a large basement,
not so theatre in the round as theatre in the square, as you can see we were
really close, it was bit voyeuristic but i loved it.

In older Victorian/Edwardian theatres, i always try to get aisle seats, why?
The Victorians (in the main) were tiny and i need leg room.

But live performances, they're worth every penny!

I've been absent, if my Mum was still around i'd produce a note from her.

    Meanwhile

Been watching S3 of Daredveil, loving it!!!
But Vincent D'Onofrio aka Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin steals it,
its like watching a acting Masterclass.
In most of the Marvel TV, the supporting actors steal it from the lead character
(think Luke Cage/Iron Fist) but Fisk steals it from all of them.

I guess I'm going to have to get back to my Netflix account soon. I've been missing some of these new seasons coming out. I'm spending so much time trying to clear off my dvr that I've neglected these other shows.

Clearly I'm watching too much network TV...

I can't watch drama's as broadcast on tv anymore, mainly because commercial's (unless its BBC which is commercial free) and having to wait a week until the next episode.
So i tend to save all the episodes up & watch them when i want to once the season is finished (as with Ray Donovan) Netflix is great as is (to a lesser extent) Amazon Video.

I hear you, but I've been watching TV this way over 60 years (and a fair bit of that was on a tiny black and white TV), so I guess I just got used to it.

For me, the whole concept of binge watching a given show is a relatively new thing and it took me a while to discover it... which has only been in the last couple of years for me.

By the way Soph, I just finished watching my first ever episode of Dr Who, and the second. I have to say, despite my grave doubts, I was thoroughly entertained. While I thought the acting was a little over the top (but not as much as I had feared) I found the writing quite clever. all-in-all, I'd say the Dr scored a new viewer. :D

Glad you liked it, was the Doctor Female or Male?
Guess i got used to binge watching, first with dvd box sets (The Wire) then on to downloads, now
    Netflix & Amazon Video.

It was the female doctor. I watched the season 11 premier and espisode 2 (she finally found her Tardis!) I still have episode 3 on the DVR. I'll probably watch that tonight and then I'll be all caught up on that show. I already have episode 4 set to record.
Well you are young, so you probably always had cable TV and DVR technology at your disposal. Cable TV and DVRs came late in my lifetime and by then I was well adjusted to once-a-week series TV. Of course our TVs were steam powered so it took a while to get them fired up... :shifty:

I appreciate the no spoilers. If as a little girl you had to use an antenna to get a TV signal and only got 4 channels, that must mean you either lived in a very rural area with no cable, or your parents just didn't have cable (either by choice or financial considerations).

You're just too young for that to have been the only technology available.

I was brought up in London, my Parents died when i was young.

We didn't have Analog Satellite TV and until the mid 1990's in the UK there were 5 Terrestrial
    (off a aerial) Channels.

I think the first Analog UK Satellite TV was in the early 90's?

I can remember getting our first Satellite dish in 1999 and going digital in 2003.
So i grew up with 5 TV channels.

Tonight's the night you get to see Maisie:love: I know it's tempting, but do your best to avoid what happened at your last play:ziplip::lol:
