Misogyny? That means "dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women." Commenting on fat models hardly means I hate all women. If I didn't appreciate pretty women, I wouldn't be on this site.

Yeah you guys seem pretty worked up about it. Clearly this is the direction things are going to continue to go. So I guess it's a lifetime of complaining online about fat models and fucking pc bullshit run amok, then?

I always say the same thing in these kind of posts to all the "fat shamers" and so called "critics" of these ladies, let's see YOU post some images of YOUR no doubt flawless physiques... Then we'll see how any of you shallow fucks can take the same criticisms and still have the courage to go to the next photoshoot without having massive insecurity/eating disorders. Until then? Stfu

Kinda invalid point as long as they don't work as models isn't it? She chose her own job.

you can see she has a beautiful face, features, they are just getting lost amongst the rest of her. She still looks like a younger Kelly Brook who is also fast catching up Ashley in the poundage arena. Kelly is soley relying on her tits getting bigger and bigger at the expense of the rest of her.

Ashley isn't really overweight though, she's a bigger framed woman. She doesn't even really have a protruding gut.
It's one thing to call a Melissa McCarthy during her Mike and Molly run or Adele early in her career overweight or obese because that would be true but a lot of plus sized models are just larger framed and there is nothing wrong with that.

Not my bag but if she is happy and she's getting paid who are we to judge?
I'm a big old lump myself and I'm sure there are far more women in this world that don't find me attractive than do, however no doubt she gets plenty of offers ... Good luck to her.

I like them fat because when they bounce on your dick, they come down a WHOLE lot harder.

    YEAH, BABY!!!

If someone wants to pay me 5 figures to pose for a photoshoot, I'm game! Say hello to Beer Belly Bud, The Bourbon Stud! :D
Any anatomist will tell you there is no such thing as "big boned." It's a myth. Everyone's skeleton is equally proportionate to their average weight and height. It's a biological fact. Don't believe me? Google.

Most of the dolts commenting clearly know nothing about her. She eats healthy and works out like crazy. She just happens to be a bigger person. She doesn't preach women to be lazy and unhealthy lol. Never has.

I read that statement as figurative, not literal. Actions often speak louder than words. It's kind of hard to work your ass off (figurative) and yet not work your ass off (literal). I don't think anyone here has claimed that Ashley is deliberately trying to set a bad example. However, other interests are definitely exploiting her to their own end, to wit, "you don't have to be skinny to be a successful model. And here's Ashley to prove it." Someone mentioned it's a PC message, and they're not wrong. But being overweight for the sake of being overweight should not be rationalized in the name of political correctness. I'm overweight. I watched my mom (among other family members) struggle with her weight for decades. She even went to Over Eaters Anonymous for years in an attempt to get control over her weight. Being overweight is not healthy no matter how well you eat or how much you work out. Do I understand that some folks are just large and that's the way it goes? Yes. But we live in an image conscious world where pictures often have huge impacts on society, and where it's easy to send the wrong message without ever saying a word.

I am using big boned as a euphemism to denote her frame. Her being a bigger woman doesn't mean she's obese. Everyone does not have the same frame. A 6-2 dude doesn't have the same frame as a 5-5 dude. Some people cannot gain weight to save their life and others cannot lose it in the way they wish to.

That's rough but it's good that she was attempting to change. My mother had no interest in bettering herself when it came to weight. I tried to encourage and get her excited about a healthy lifestyle but she just didn't care. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

    True.
One day, I don't know, she must have been 60 or so, she said out loud to no one in particular, "I'm old, fat and ugly. Now that I've come to terms with it I can enjoy the rest of my life." lol

    She lived to be 94.

Well actually she IS. Math and numbers don't lie. Like I said, her BMI is saying: OBESE. So yeah, she's not overweight. She's obese. And that's a fact. Whether you like this look or don't doesn't matter. It's a fact as is gravity. If you jump from a high building you'll get hurt, whether you believe in gravity or not. And like Scribe said, there's no such thing as "big frame". Yes, there's height, but the BMI takes her height into consideration. And the result says: Obese. So the question here is not, if she's obese or not, but whether you personally like this look and what kind of messages it sends to other women...

Again obesity is a dangerous disease. It's like smoking somehow became "trendy" again. Shit is not healthy for you, no matter how you turn it...and same goes for obesity.

Seems to me like less of an altruistic statement about body acceptance and more about making money off women of non-VS shapes who want to have sexy stuff to wear. They use the 'body acceptance' stuff to draw you in emotionally, and then you buy whatever products they tell you are 'sexy.'

    You - meant figuratively
    Sexy - meant subjectively

They do this for men by selling you cases of alcoholic-inducing-empty-calories-in-a-can that is totally ok because you drink it while doing manly obese-man stuff.
